Featured Product – Durlon® 9002

Durlon 9002

Durlon® 9002 is an adaptation of the original glass-filled formula to better meet extreme cryogenic system demands. Durlon® 9002 has passed both gaseous, and liquid oxygen tests performed by BAM Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing. Durlon® 9002 has also been tested for LOX Mechanical Impact Sensitivity, passing with zero reactions out of twenty tests (0/20) at a test reaction frequency of 0%, and conforms to the requirements of FDA (21 CFR 177.1550 for food & drug contact).

Durlon® 9002 is readily available through the standard manufacturing process and requires no secondary heat or cleansing treatments prior to gasket cutting. Once gaskets are cut, traditional oxygen cleaning standards must be applied for safety. Durlon® 9002 comes available as oxygen cleaned gaskets, bagged, labeled, and sealed according to the European Industrial Gases Association standard for Cleaning of Equipment for Oxygen Service.

Meeting Environmental Standards

With the goal of providing fluid sealing solutions that make sense, both financially and strategically, our company is committed to helping to maintain a safe and sustainable planet and play a role in the reduction of fugitive emissions within the applications where Durlon® products are used.

When it comes to the hazardous and challenging conditions present in the oil and gas, chemical, and mining industries, to name a few, Durlon product specifications ensure safety, reliability, and assurance of a significant reduction in overall fugitive emissions.

As a manufacturer of fluid sealing products, we are ideally qualified to resolve troublesome and costly leaks once detected through a leak detection and repair (LDAR) program. Closely monitoring regulatory requirements for methane emissions reductions in the USA, Canada, and around the world, Durlon provides several products that meet compliance requirements.

The Durlon Sealing Advantage

We manufacture two specific product categories that have been tested and proven to offer exceptional sealability in challenging conditions. Our compression-molded and skived manufacturing process allows for the best control of physical properties and performance characteristics compared to other manufacturing processes.

With unique formulas of fillers, Durlon PTFE products can meet your tough chemical applications and engineering specifications. This most versatile product offers exceptionally tight sealing characteristics and has achieved numerous certifications.

Our filled-PTFE products – notably the most versatile product, Durlon® 9000 glass-filled PTFE, offers exceptionally tight sealing characteristics. Secondly, our premium grade corrugated metal insert gasket, Durlon® Durtec®, is ideally suited to fluctuating pressure and temperature conditions while being fire-safe and offering unparalleled sealability. When it comes to the hazardous and challenging conditions present in the oil and gas, chemical and mining industries, to name a few, these product specifications ensure safety, reliability and the assurance of a significant reduction in overall fugitive emissions.

Our Durlon Commitment

Through field measurements, continuous testing, and published data, it has been proven that Durlon products seal as tight, or tighter, under various applications than any other brand. In a low carbon world, tighter sealing is the difference between an unplanned release and zero emissions. Our commitment is to helping others achieve and exceed today’s challenging emissions standards. Durlon has been and will continue to be dedicated to fugitive emissions containment.
